EVERY STONE IS DIFFERENT! |
AN INDIAN TALE
Legend has it that over the centuries, a native american tribe in New Mexico hand-wove beautiful blankets for trading, and by tradition, always left a "devil thread" from the inside of the blanket through the border to "let the evil spirits out".
While other competing tribes sold hand-woven blankets without the "devil thread" and mocked them for this "error", as the 1800's arrived, textile machines
soon duplicated the hand-made blankets of other tribes and put them out of the blanket trading business,
but because the "devil thread" of the New Mexican tribes blankets could not be duplicated by machines, those blankets became
highly sought-after as unique and collectible. And the New Mexican tribe still makes blankets by hand with the "error" to this day, with their good fortune proving
once and for all the "devil thread" really did let the "evil spirits" out of their blankets!
Our real stone is different from man-made stone or concrete in that it has hidden occulations, which only become apparent
after we seal the stone, when one "miracle" drop of the sealer makes its way through the entire matrix of the stone and randomly exits just 1 tiny hole
on the bottom. What is unique is that when this random event occurs, is that it NEVER comes out more than 1 hole! Like the "devil thread"
let the "evil spirits" out of the New Mexican tribe's hand-made blankets, we call this the "devil hole" letting the "evil spirits" out of our hand-made stone engravings!
About 1 in 10 of our stone plaques has this unique "devil hole" feature. So when you receive your plaque, be sure to turn it over to check to see if the "evil spirits" got out of YOUR stone(or they just may wait til later)!
